I’m a creative sector project manager and funding consultant. I’m accustomed to designing and delivering projects to suit strategic business need and I’m skilled at making complex projects and programmes happen. I’ve managed multiple partner relationships, reviewed business plans, producing strong & successful funding applications, and supported artist professional development.

Over the last fifteen years, I have undertaken arts producer, project manager and consultant roles (both freelance and employed) within the North East culture sector. I managed an art gallery and studio complex, curating the exhibitions, leading strategic and organisational planning, and fundraising. As Artist Development Manager at Northern Film + Media(NFM), I developed a multi-year programming and fundraising strategy for artists’ professional development in the Tees Valley. I undertook a seed-funded research project examining how to tackle the climate crisis by supporting social change through creative means, and I co-programmied events for the NewBridge Project’s Deep Adaptation programme – a series of commissions, talks, events & workshops looking at how current social, political, civic & economic issues can be understood in relation to climate change. I was also a Relationship Manager in Combined Arts at Arts Council England. I appraised grant applications, provided advice to individuals & organisations applying for project funding, and supporting business plans delivery.
