I’m a creative sector project manager, producer and funding consultant based in the UK. I’ve got extensive experience designing & delivering cultural projects to suit strategic business need and I’m skilled at making complex projects and programmes happen.
I’ve managed complex multi-partner relationships, reviewed business plans, producing strong & successful funding applications, and designed & delivered professional development for artists and cultural professionals. I have specific knowledge & expertise in the climate crisis and how cultural sector organisations can pivot planning & operations to respond to it.
Over the last seventeen years, I have undertaken arts producer, project manager and consultant roles. I managed an art gallery and studio complex, curating the exhibitions, leading strategic and organisational planning, and fundraising. As Artist Development Manager at North East Screen I developed a multi-year programming and fundraising strategy for artists’ professional development in the Tees Valley, plus delivered multi-parter residency programmes and artist moving image screening events.
I undertook a seed-funded research project examining how to tackle the climate crisis by supporting social change through creative means, and I co-programmed events for the NewBridge Project’s Deep Adaptation programme – a series of commissions, talks, events & workshops looking at how current social, political, civic & economic issues can be understood in relation to climate change.
I was also been a Grant Monitoring Manager and a Relationship Manager in Combined Arts at Arts Council England. I’ve appraising grant applications, supported grantees to meet funding requirements, provided advice to individuals & organisations applying for project funding, and support business plans delivery.
In addition to providing business and fundraising consultancy, I’m Creative Project Manager at Sail Creative, supporting strategic planning and ensuring operations and projects run smoothly. I also fundraise for Extinction Rebellion UK as part of the Public Fundraising Team.
